Daxxify

Daxxify is a neuromodulator, in the same family as Botox, Dysport, Xeomin and Jeuveau. What sets it apart is its formulation: it is stabilized with a peptide rather than human albumin, and in clinical trials its effect on frown lines lasted a median of six months, with some patients going longer. For people who are tired of coming in every three months, that is the appeal.

What it treats

Daxxify is FDA-approved for the frown lines between the brows, and Dr. Darvish uses it off-label in the same areas as other neuromodulators: forehead lines, crow's feet, bunny lines, and for softening a square jaw or neck bands.

What to expect

A series of small injections over about ten minutes. No downtime. Results begin in two to three days and settle at about two weeks. Dosing is planned so you look rested, not frozen, and we see you at two weeks for a touch-up if needed.

Choosing between neuromodulators

They all work the same way. The differences are in onset, spread and duration, and in how an individual patient responds. Dr. Darvish has injected thousands of treatments over twenty years and will recommend the product that fits your face and your schedule, not the one with the biggest marketing budget.

Frequently asked questions

How long does Daxxify last?

A median of about six months in clinical trials, compared with three to four months for traditional neuromodulators. Individual duration varies.

Is it more expensive?

Per treatment, usually yes. Per year, often comparable or less, because you need fewer visits.

Can I switch from Botox to Daxxify?

Yes. Many of our Botox patients try Daxxify when their last treatment has worn off. There is no interaction.

Does it look different?

No. The result is the same natural softening of lines. It simply lasts longer.

Who should not get Daxxify?

Anyone pregnant or breastfeeding, or with certain neuromuscular conditions. Your consultation covers your history.
