A few to start with

How long does Botox last?

Botox typically lasts three to four months. Results begin two to three days after treatment, peak at about two weeks, and fade gradually as the treated muscle regains movement. Duration varies with dose, the area treated, your metabolism and how expressive you are. Daxxify, a newer neuromodulator, lasts a median of six months. Read more

How long do dermal fillers last?

Most hyaluronic acid fillers last nine to eighteen months depending on the product and where it is placed. Lip fillers tend toward the shorter end because lips move so much; firm fillers in the cheeks, chin and jawline, like Voluma and Volux, often last eighteen months or more. Radiesse lasts about a year and Sculptra stimulates your own collagen for two years or longer. Read more

How many laser hair removal sessions do I need?

Most people need six to eight laser hair removal sessions spaced four to eight weeks apart for 80 to 90 percent permanent reduction, followed by an occasional maintenance session. Hair grows in cycles and the laser only destroys follicles in the active growth phase, so a series is required to catch every follicle. Face and hormonal areas often need a few more sessions. Does Coolsculpting actually work?

Yes. Coolsculpting is FDA-cleared and in clinical studies reduces the fat layer in a treated area by 20 to 25 percent per session. It freezes fat cells, which die and are cleared by the body over two to three months. It works best on pinchable pockets in people near a stable weight. It is not weight loss, and results depend heavily on correct applicator placement and candidate selection. Read more
