Most fillers are designed for areas that stay still. The RHA Collection was built for the parts of the face that move: lines around the mouth, the lips, the cheeks when you smile. "Resilient hyaluronic acid" is made with fewer chemical modifications, so the gel stretches and recovers with expression instead of looking stiff or obvious. It is the first filler line FDA-approved for dynamic wrinkles and folds.
RHA Redensity
The lightest of the family, made for fine lines on the upper lip (lipstick lines), delicate lines around the mouth, and superficial smoothing. It softens without adding bulk, which is why it is our choice for areas where volume would look wrong.
RHA 2
A soft, flexible gel for moderate lines and subtle lip enhancement. It moves naturally with the mouth, so lips look like lips, not filler.
RHA 3
The middle weight, for deeper nasolabial folds, marionette lines and lip volume where a little more structure is needed.
RHA 4
The firmest, for restoring volume in the cheeks and the mid-face and for deep folds. It gives lift while still flexing with expression.
What to expect
Each product contains lidocaine and we add topical numbing. Treatment takes 15 to 30 minutes with minimal swelling. Results are immediate and typically last twelve to fifteen months. Dr. Darvish chooses the weight, or combination of weights, based on the area and how much it moves, which is the whole point of the line.
Frequently asked questions
How is RHA different from Juvéderm or Restylane?
RHA gels are less chemically modified, so they stretch and recover with facial movement. In areas that move a lot they tend to look more natural than stiffer gels.
Which RHA product will I get?
It depends on the area. Redensity for fine lip lines, RHA 2 or 3 for lips and folds, RHA 4 for cheeks. Often more than one in a single plan.
How long do they last?
Twelve to fifteen months for most patients.
Can RHA be dissolved?
Yes, with hyaluronidase, like any hyaluronic acid filler.
Is there downtime?
Minimal. Some swelling or a small bruise for a few days.
