Jeuveau
Jeuveau, sometimes nicknamed Newtox, is a neuromodulator developed specifically for aesthetic use rather than adapted from a medical product. It is the same type of molecule as Botox, manufactured with a modern purification process, and in head-to-head trials performed comparably on frown lines, with many patients noticing a slightly faster onset.
What it treats
FDA-approved for frown lines between the brows, and used off-label by Dr. Darvish for forehead lines, crow's feet and other expression lines, the same way as other neuromodulators.
What to expect
About ten minutes of small injections, no downtime, results starting in two to three days and settling at two weeks. Expect three to four months of smoothing before expression gradually returns.
Why offer so many options?
Because people respond differently. Some patients who have grown resistant to one product respond well to another; some prefer the feel of one over another. Carrying Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, Jeuveau and Daxxify lets us match the product to the patient. It is the comprehensive approach that defines how we work.
Frequently asked questions
How is Jeuveau different from Botox?
Same type of molecule and same mechanism. Jeuveau is made only for cosmetic use and some patients find it starts working a day or two sooner. Duration is similar.
How long does it last?
Typically three to four months.
Is there downtime?
No. Small bumps at the injection points fade within twenty minutes. Avoid lying down or exercising for a few hours.
Can it be combined with filler?
Yes, and it often is. Neuromodulators soften lines from muscle movement; fillers restore volume. Many patients do both in one visit.
Who injects?
Dr. Darvish personally.
