Juvéderm Volux

Volux is the firmest filler in the Juvéderm family and the first hyaluronic acid filler FDA-approved specifically for the jawline. Its structure lets it hold a sharp edge, which is exactly what a jawline or chin needs and what softer fillers cannot do without migrating.

What it treats

  • A soft or receding jawline, including early jowling
  • A weak or short chin, in profile or from the front
  • Asymmetry between the two sides of the jaw

What to expect

The filler contains lidocaine and we add topical numbing. Injections take about 20 minutes. Results are immediate, with mild swelling for a few days. Volux typically lasts 12 to 18 months.

A comprehensive approach

Jawline definition often works alongside Kybella for fullness under the chin and a neuromodulator for a wide masseter. Dr. Darvish plans the lower face as a whole, so you get one coordinated result rather than a series of separate fixes. See more on our jawline page.

Frequently asked questions

Is Volux different from Voluma?

Both are Juvéderm fillers. Voluma is designed for cheek volume; Volux is firmer and made for the jawline and chin where definition matters more than softness.

How long does it last?

Twelve to eighteen months for most patients.

Does it hurt?

The filler contains lidocaine and we numb the area first. Most patients describe pressure.

Can it be dissolved?

Yes. Like all hyaluronic acid fillers, it can be reversed with hyaluronidase if needed.

How many syringes will I need?

Usually two to four for a full jawline. Dr. Darvish gives you the plan and total cost before anything is booked.
